★Oracular Overview—there’s always meaning behind pain…
Rob Brezny once wrote about “the pleasures that can come from cultivating a robust relationship with one’s primal longing—[that] your primal longing is the deepest yearning you have; the essential desire that brought you here to earth; the reason why you’re alive; the goal that’s most important for you to strive for this lifetime; your core driving force.”
I’m guessing that you likely know at this point—here in your Now, here within the ‘messy middle’ of it all—that you know vaguely, if not precisely, what your primal longing in this lifetime is.
❝My library is an archive of longings…❞
——Susan Sontag
Are you living the essence of this longing in your everyday?
If not, why?
Longings can be associated with memories, whether these memories are conscious or not, though this is a potential threat, naturally, to the accuracy of the memory itself, which is typically always, by default, somewhat compromised or misleading, and commonly over-personalized… though, longing extends itself beyond the memory into a etherical realm of What Could Be—sometimes a memory of What Was, should the memory be distilled within the soul from another lifetime.
❝The feelings that hurt most, the emotions that sting most, are those that are absurd—the longing for impossible things, precisely because they are impossible; nostalgia for what never was; the desire for what could have been; regret over not being someone else; dissatisfaction with the world’s existence. All these half-tones of the soul’s consciousness create in us a painful landscape, an eternal sunset of what we are.❞
——Fernando Pessoa
Sometimes longings, especially if they’re not being actively participated in, create a sense of insecurity or pain—and through the degrees that today’s moon separates from an early morning conjunction with Venus in Cancer as Venus applies a square to Chiron… this degree associates itself with “working within the basic features at the start of all learning processes and concentrated attention…”¹
When Venus and Chiron connect by square its influences can embody, emotionally, much sensitivity toward one’s squishy vulnerabilities and feelings of insecurity… this symbolic (or actual) re-wounding is an effort toward inspiring you to make necessary shifts within how you feel through your feelings—it is actually an invitation to reflect and reassess the manner in which you are consciously inviting, allowing, and/or processing pain.
On a physical level, pain is simply the body’s way of alerting you to a problem you need to be aware of—to either treat, or shift a behavior in an effort to eliminate further pain, or the furthering of resulting complications.
On an emotional level, pain feels differently, doesn’t it… however, emotional pain alerts psychic reminders, muscle memory associations, and both psychosomatic and/or/either/both actual sentimental triggers that continue to reactivate present pain, or reactivate the original pain.
Unfortunately, these necessary reflections and emotional reassessments are falling upon you to be nurtured when the moon is balsamic and weak, a moon shamanic astrologer Raven Kaldera titles “the Moon of the Keepers of the Memories, a moon… [through which we participate with] living in the past, we forgive, and talk about what we remember…”²
How do you respond or react to pain?—is it serving you?
Can you forgive your pain?—can you forgive the source of your pain?
Do you remember the source of your pain?
Are these (conditioned) patterning inclinations you’ve been nurturing in response or reaction to pain nurturing you in return?
❝If your quest for spiritual enlightenment doesn’t enhance your ability to witness and heal the suffering of your fellow humans, then it’s fake enlightenment.❞
——Rob Brezny
Also relevant through the degrees of these planetary alignments is the “ability to take a leap ahead of normal development, simply by making an attempt to be or to do more… a higher sense of being or thinking forward into a more intelligent, more successful level of life… project yourself with a sense of confidence and dignity.”³
On this note, I find it supportive to share with you that Uranus is stationing retrograde today upon the tenth degree of Taurus, a degree which associates to “unconditional and compassionate understanding, breaking down the borders between self and others, and first aid kits…”³
Uranus is the planet of revolutionary change and inspired spark—a planet of innovative improvements upon one’s inner spirit and authenticity toward change and personal evolution… when one moves beyond the ego there is nothing to wound—the soul is illuminated energy, it cannot be wounded… only shared, and further illuminated…
❝Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee.❞
——Augustine of Hippo
