Ralph Waldo Emerson once commented that “the moment we indulge our affections, the earth is metamorphosed; there is no winter and no night; all tragedies, all ennui’s vanish, all duties even.”
In the name of right action and holy balance, amen.
Mars, Scorpio’s traditional ruler, has only just stationed yesterday to move directly from an exalted retrograde in Aries that has been charging headstrong and backward since September… and what has metamorphosed since then may likely never find a more appropriate sensation of closure, or effort in transformational transition, or momentary presence toward revival, than through this new moon in Scorpio—a moon through which we simply seek to understand and allow compassion toward our darkness and shadows.
Truly, when mishandled, misused, or abused, Mars energies can be quite damaging, and when in Aries, where Mars feels very much comfortably at home, this potential in destructiveness can be even more unruly, especially if it’s repressed; we wound the ones we love, yes? However. If this energy was constrictively utilized, especially through its retrogradation, then it is likely that much was accomplished, despite its abrasively retrograded implications… perhaps it wasn’t what was intended, but something was accomplished… something was broken through—for better or worse.

Still, it is important to realize—and take away from what has been nearly a six-month transition through Aries—that your indulgences, affections, and motivations matter, and they are indeed changed. Mars will be moving directly on November 17th, from the fifteenth degree of Aries, and moving beyond its own shadow period after the new year.
This week could very well be, or feel, something like a calm before a storm…
Yes. You’ve read that right: a calm «before» a storm… though the upcoming celestial weather might not resemble so much of a storm as a necessary whirlwind.
You are in a precious place of transition—a transition within a transition, if you will; through this transition, at this place of calm, as though placed upon a precipice of advantage and potential—you are tuning in to higher frequencies, moving in new directions of Beingness, raising your vibration, and participating in all-around higher levels of consciousness through the willful broadening of your own circulations of potential…
And there’s no going back now, not ever again—No Longer is both celestially and officially no longer… you’ve been given two years to adjust to this. Let it all go and move forward into your Not Yet, toward your bluer than blue horizons.
Once one awakens, one cannot go back to sleep; if you are not yet awake, your alarm should be sounding momentarily—snooze it if you dare.
Consciousness, truly, is a gift—and you are now ready to enjoy its rewards.

It is essential to acknowledge that Jupiter is only beginning to separate from its third conjunction with Pluto at 23° Capricorn, celestially concluding a transition that began earlier this year, in April, and more on this is included elsewhere, though this third and final conjunction represents a finalizing through actual physical or otherwise tangible manifestations earned and secured through hard work throughout the year, rewards for upholding your personal responsibility to your own ideal and bluer than blue horizons.
This personal responsibility is, of course, also, the pursuing of one’s soul purpose, and thereby both directly and indirectly fulfilling sensations of joy… if you have been doing what’s necessary in connecting the dots within your strategic plan, horizons are likely being dramatically opened—and with the upcoming lunar eclipse so close in view—it’s anyone’s guess what the view will hold, from one day to the next.
A detail to tuck away for another day, is that the degree today’s event occurs through, almost exactly by arc minute—through 23°01′ Scorpio—will be illuminated again on August 15th, 2021 as a first quarter moon, loosely within a t-square alignment between Mercury applying the Nodes; this mutably earthy day will likely offer further inspired notions and realizations, peak experiences, and perhaps an epiphany or three… to envision in practical ways—whimsy to be experienced in real time.
Speaking of whimsy…
The degree of today’s lunarly event, in fact, associates itself to the “need to incorporate inspiring experiences and teachings into everyday living… today we hear a great deal about “peak experiences” (Maslow)… the great problem facing everyone who has had such experiences is how to assimilate what has been felt, seen or heard, and how to let it transform his everyday consciousness and behavior—if this is not done the experience may turn confusing or toxic and perhaps destructive of the integrity of the person… the “return home” from the high mountain, or from any “upper chamber” of the consciousness, may lead to a sense of oppression by the normal realities of existence, or else the soul that has been illuminated may retain enough of that light to transfigure every daily situation—this is the great challenge to transformation.”
As Dr Sheldon Cooper would tell you: what’s life without whimsy?
And this is exactly why I’ve been yammering on and on about manifesting your ideals into your reality for an entire year—for this cosmically auspicious landscape of whimsical possibility…

Finally, Neptune is currently beginning to square the Nodes, this mutable square being exact on January 25th, 2021 at 19° Pisces, a degree which associates itself to “the transfer of power and knowledge which keeps the original spiritual and creative Impulse of the cycle active and undeviated… [offering] a clue to the supreme technique necessary for the continuation of all manifestations of power and spiritual understanding.”
More on this another time… though we have much to learn, transition toward, and fully realize, indeed… and the moment we indulge our affections, the earth is metamorphosed—forevermore.
