ॐOracular Mantra—balancing, balancing, balancing…

Astrologer Rob Brezny shared in a past oracular email that “the Flemish artist Jan van Eyck (1385-1441) was renowned in his day for his innovative mastery of oil painting. He signed many of his works not just with his name but also with his motto: als ick kan. Its idiomatic translation is “the best I can do.” What he meant was that he had pushed his talent and craft to the limit, and then stopped and relaxed, content that he had given all he could.”

To continue yesterday’s mantra of manageability, it is possible that the heavens are offering you not only the ability to do the best you can do, but even an opportunity for adeptuous achievement.

It’ll be a matter of balancing one thing with another, of balancing your responsibilities with your need for play and retreat.

❝You must let what happens happen. Everything must be equal in your eyes, good and evil, beautiful and ugly, foolish and wise.❞
——Michael Ende

Today’s balancing moon connects to a recently retrograded Mercury, and Mercury having only moved backward one degree since January 30th, however doubly supporting all lunarly influencing, as it may be necessary for you to “perform necessary checks and balances to ensure the smooth running of your life as a part of the everyday maintenance—our appliances and ourselves.”

This connecting degree associates itself with “testing the earthly vehicle for roadworthiness; situations that have ‘boiled over’, bringing all to a stop, breakdown, and the need for repairs… bringing forward movement to a halt.”

❝Everything has boundaries. The same holds true with thought. You shouldn’t fear boundaries, but you should not be afraid of destroying them. That’s what is most important if you want to be free: respect for and exasperation with boundaries.❞
——Haruki Murakami

Later tonight the moon squares to Pluto upon a degree which, as astrologer Dane Rudhyar represents “a new, higher approach to the use of polarized forces [particularly within yourself] which has been ever so little transformed—are operating within a new framework.”

In other words—if something has been building up within, or maybe you’ve been feeling something a bit more extremely… try to rise above it now, and do the best that you can do, and try to put it aside or let it go entirely.

Or, in somewhat perpendicular support, this degree also represents “feelings of emotional lightness… the deeper parts of feelings are sometimes ignored, or rejected, as the spirit flits over the surface of any troubles—go with your feelings and don’t worry too much about social restrictions; finding a comfortable and safe place in a situation or place may be necessary… going with your gut feelings can lift your spirits to new heights—be aware, however, that some people may not take your actions seriously… it may be a really good idea for people to see your light side.”

❝The ingredients of both darkness and light are equally present in all of us… The madness of this planet is largely a result of the human being’s difficulty in coming to viruous balance with himself.❞
——Elizabeth Gilbert
