MARS MOVEMENTS•••
Mars in Cancer

Mars has been moving along in Cancer since April 23rd, with only the moon to illuminate its presence, just once, in opposition, on April 30th…

Mars isn’t comfortable in Cancer, because Mars prefers to move boldly, forward, without thinking, or feeling, or doubting, or needing any guarantee—Cancer energies need guarantees, and without them, movement is slow, lateral, and embedded with emotion.

So Mars has been moving through Cancer since the end of April, seemingly laterally, without much fanfare…

People are so brainwashed by the rules that they don’t know what really matters.❞
——Mick Jagger

However, beginning on May 7th, the moon in combative Aries will apply Mars by square, illuminating also a building square application between Mars and Chiron, which will be exact May 11th through the eleventh degree… not to mention, this bombardment will also connect to Uranus by sextile, upon the eleventh degree of Taurus.

Through this eleventh degree of Cancer, Mars will no longer be able to move laterally without fanfare.

The eleventh degree of Cancer associates itself with “having a heart-to-heart talk versus sidestepping a difficult issue until the time is right; straining to find the right words of the right expression; being cautious of one’s effects on others versus irresponsible and childish outbursts; discretion versus indiscretion; factoring in the characters of the people one is talking to; seeing beyond social masks and listening with the heart; treating people with respect and care versus being overly blunt; upping the emotional ante…”¹

Many of these associative suggestions are not Mars-like at all. But many of them demand the very best frequencies of Cancer through the bold and courageous motivations and actions of Mars.

Before you marry a person, you should first make them use a computer with slow internet to see who they really are.❞
——Will Ferrell

This will not be an easy circumstance for everyone… be it a harsh or touchy conversation, or an actual delivery of emotional fortitude otherwise, in response or reaction…

Whenever we’re dealing with Chiron, immediately, presume that something hurts, that something is broken or bleeding—that something is in critical pain and defensive and fearful.

Though not exact, Mars will be applying a quincunx to Saturn in Aquarius, exact May 14th, though this influence could largely provoke itself into the larger issue… this influence could lend you thinking that you know best, which will likely be a very slippery slope through these manifesting energies.

Possessing confidence through these circumstances, whatever they look like for you in your reality, is ideal—as in knowing from a place within that you can navigate yourself through obstacles and delays, resistances or disappointments… however, the key to this confidence is having an ability to discern the differences of the details in between… not in feeling as though you always know best.

Being able to see others’ points of view… “to see things objectively”² is the point here.

An open mind or heart is able to receive… one which is closed is rendered unavailable. Be open.

The greatest victory has been to be able to live with myself, to accept my shortcomings… I’m a long way from the human being I’d like to be. But I’ve decided I’m not so bad after all.❞
——Audrey Hepburn

Further, “things may seem exaggerated and blown out of proportion…”² especially if someone, or you yourself, is refusing to acknowledge the real essence of it all—or refusing to receive.

The larger circumstances, through the Mars/Chiron square, likely highlight and dramatize a triggering of sorts toward your inner dignity, or a vulnerability, or another’s—and this is enraging… however, this emerging fanfare, likely somewhat literally, will be an opportunity for awaking toward the exemplification of one’s own ideals, even if it is through an extremely sidestepping manner of machination.

Truly, in Cancer, and with Chiron involved, volunteering such openness and absolute vulnerability, in and of itself, is horrifically terrifying; but because Mars is involved—that inner knowing gut instinct is being activated…

Are you being true to yourself?—to your core?

Are you being true to yourself in this particular circumstance?

What is really behind and underneath the mask if you feel you need to wear one through these manifestations?

She could be herself, by herself. And that was what now she often felt the need of… to think; well not even to think. To be silent; to be alone. All the being and the doing, expansive, glittering, vocal, evaporated; and one shrunk, with a sense of solemnity, to being oneself, a wedge-shaped core of darkness, something invisible to others… and this self having shed its attachments was free for the strangest adventures.
——Virginia Woolf

Feelings, in action.

Being open to receive—a feeling.

Perhaps this is the birth of a new way?

A new plan. A new vision. Or, if not new—a stronger, more determined footing within one’s ideal.

A new motivation, however, in one way or another.

Being triggered to a point of defensiveness, much like a crab might feel navigating its way forward through a skinny corridor, without any other, wider, options… without the capacity to sidestep or pause—a degree of receptivity and/or flexibility will be demanded of you—to be open to receive how it feels to feel your own raw emotions, activated.

I am a great friend of chaos. It’s all we have. I mean, this whole concept of being able to manage life… life is risk, life is chance, life is being open to chance. The best things in my life, and probably in anybody’s life, come out of being open to being blown off course.
——Tilda Swinton
