Aquarius/Pisces Balsamic Moon
—March 1

Continuing through the scheduled storm…

Though, the lightning and thunder bolts of genius and revelatory insights will likely subside as the moon moves from Aquarius and into Pisces, where the highly irrational intuitions morph into an ocean of water surrounding you, swallowing you, consuming you…

I have been summing it up—when I consider these current energies, and pulses, and all these flurrious frequencies—to riding a wave…

Riding this metaphorical wave can be quite thrilling, and empowering, supportive even, seemingly easy, and simultaneously, a little frightening—because you know, as waves naturally operate, a wave eventually meets the shore… and what the shore has to offer varies from shore to shore, from coast to coast.

And, particularly today—once the moon moves into Pisces it begins applying the sun for tomorrow’s new moon, thereby, these energies could inspire an easy, peaceful flowing vibration, if not an entirely numbing, zombied, entranced kinda feeling…

Well, more specifically, feelings that you feel when riding a wave—you just sort of go with it.

Still, as easy-going as Piscean energies are—a lot of the time—portrayed, these nebulously contrary inner energies can be quite resisting… though, this resistance, however resistant, is more like how water ‘resists’ flowing uphill. I suppose what I’m trying to suggest is that should you choose to resist riding the metaphorical wave—it might feel something similar to surfing, as opposed to floating.

But who I am to say?!—I’ve never surfed, lol—but I can imagine the differences… such as the differences between a prophet and a mystic: one ‘knows’, and the other knows.

On a separate note—Mercury is applying a conjunction to Saturn, exact on March 2nd at 18°59′ Aquarius, a degree that associates itself, largely, more or less, to leveling up; in consciousness or otherwise.

Meanwhile, Venus and Mars are still moving through opposite ends of the twenty-sixth degree of Capricorn, passing Vesta, which remains within the twenty-fifth degree, and are currently applying separate conjunctions to Pluto, currently at 27°48’…

Mars will conjoin Pluto at 27°50′ just after midnight on March 3rd, and Venus will catch up in conjunction at 27°51′ later that night.

Several significant details upon this point—first of all, this is the last time Mars connects with Pluto, in conjunction, within Capricorn; the next Mars/Pluto conjunction is on February 13, 2024 at 0°46′ Aquarius… second, this upcoming conjunction occurs upon a degree which Mars is, shall we say: extra exalted.

So, I would imagine that Mars-type influences and impulses will very much aggressively and loudly dominate over Venusian interests and investments, to say the least, however strategically, however rationally uneffected…

How is this Venus/Mars/Pluto dynamic playing out or manifesting in your personal reality?—it might be worth your time to ponder, because this phase of the cycle could become interesting—not to mention, neither Venus or Mars have any power or influence in Aquarius, much less—planetary entitlements, which is where all of this Venus/Mars interchange ends up, especially with Saturn still reigning in Aquarius…

In other words, what’s currently representing Venus for you, personally?—and Mars? And how are these ending—or being finalized, eliminated, feeling threatened, or becoming obsolete within your personal reality? And, perhaps most importantly—how are you nurturing these endings or conclusions?—or are you resisting or denying them?

And the sun is applying its annual conjunction to Jupiter, exact on March 5th at 14°59′ Pisces… this degree suggests much more focus will need to be applied to the problem—like, a lot more focus… things have become much too blurry… possibly within denial.

Finally, on March 6th, Vesta will connect to Pluto by conjunction at 27°55’… your inner ‘rightness’ could potentially unravel, particularly if you’re seeking or needing to be ‘right’, or in control in some way—whereas an authentically deep, deep and deeply silent inner knowing could prevail if you’re experiencing the flow of the wave….

Again—in coming around, full circle—the difference between ‘knowing’ and knowing is potently real…

I tried to discover, in the rumor of forests and waves, words that other men could not hear, and I pricked up my ears to listen to the revelation of their harmony.❞

Aquarius Balsamic Moon
—February 28

Something of an eerie calm before a very strategically scheduled storm…

Is there an electricity to be experienced, lingering in the air?

This may be one of those magical days when you feel personally capable of anything—when you can actually feel cosmically interconnected to the universe, and everything, all things, to All That Is… you may feel every fiber in your being, your blood surging through each and every vein, simultaneously—you may see through walls… I don’t know—it could happen.

Though, if I may suggest—try to envision through the walls you envision via ideals within the future rather than dwelling within the walls of What Is.

Expressing emotions could feel like too much… that there are no words to describe the ways you feel—that no one else has possibly ever felt like this, ever—as you may be feeling many feelings simultaneously, feeling thoughts even, and thinking feelings, and on and on… as if you’re electrified.

Or these energies may feel a bit strenuous, or psychically challenging, or possibly even somewhat defeating… it would depend, then, very much so, upon where your heart is… upon where you inherently believe your own walls are, and where your own limitations reside.

My point, essentially, is toward matters of vulnerability—perhaps you feel little today?—thinking yourself invulnerable may be quite powerful through these energies.

The moon will move to connect to Mercury, by conjunction, in Aquarius, through a degree that associates itself to ‘learning to let down barriers; having the mental discipline to hold fear, greed, and lust at bay within oneself, so [you] can meet them without fear in the outside world versus projecting [your] own lusts onto others…’

Then, later, the moon will connect to Saturn—to secure or solidify your thoughts, envisions, imaginings, and/or ideals—within a degree that associates itself to ‘confident self-projection; creative and living into a personal myth; exceptional power of visualization; jaunty confidence in one’s ability to handle any situation, no matter how dangerous; changing reality according to what one visualizes as true; and using the mental will to hold together a certain picture of reality…’

Today could be a very powerful day, indeed… do yourself a solid and envision the possibility of your ideals, in a most innovatively realistic way—instead of exaggerating that which remains seemingly impossible…

Meanwhile, Venus and Mars move at opposite arc minutes of the twenty-sixth degree of Capricorn, a degree that represents Maya—the ‘epiphanic moments where one calms the mind and experiences oneself fully…’ which would further suggest, much more—support, the rising above yourself and your current circumstances in a somewhat magically envisioned effort toward What Could Be—and if you’re willing to participate within the maintenance of this balancing: What Will Be.

As electrifying as today may prove to be for you, I would consider it, too, to be equally as lightening… (see what I did there?!—lightning)

Should you need reassurances—trust how you feel…

If you feel lighter, you’re likely on to something and if you feel heavier than ever—you may want to reconsider some of your ways.

What’s the success you think success will bring you? Go after the after-success, first.

Capricorn/Aquarius Balsamic Moon
—February 27

By late morning/early afternoon, depending upon which side of the country you’re on, the moon moves into Aquarius from Capricorn—though, as always, only strengthening in saturnian steadfastness…

And a lunarly conjunction to Pluto just before.

Depending upon how your personal monthly lunarly conjunctions to Pluto have been emerging should speak volumes—however, this particular lunarly conjunction, keep in mind, falls upon a balsamic moon, and so this would suggest much more severely a release of some kind—and may it be volunteered rather than resisted.

And so, this lunarly ingress, today, from Capricorn to Aquarius, could associate, more symbolically or revalistically, toward the lifting of a weight—more phonetically: the release of a heavy weight and the resulting lightness experienced… and, perhaps most essentially, by Aquarius, the consequential revelation to be most responsibly regarded thereby this transformational phenomena.

Today could throw some potential irritations at you… but these could also be quite intriguing, as well, once the irritation subsides—or, rather—once you’ve tired of the irritation, rendered it powerless, and effectively let it go…

To most human beings, wind is an irritation. To most trees, wind is a song.

Capricorn Balsamic Moon
—February 26

Today is a day to take what you know at this point—and try to reconnect yourself, through this new knowledge specifically, to the greater world at large… to the collective… to an/Other.

Anything you’ve lost touch with—reconnect yourself, though the essence of what you’ve learned.

How you convey these new insights you’ve embraced—these new truths—is everything…

Particularly, if you’re considering—or feeling you need—to convince an/Other of these new visions, these new ways… these new truths—it will depend largely upon how these new ideas or ideals, concepts or confessions are communicated, and most importantly: how they are received.

Should you share your newest perspectives with an/Other who ‘gets it’—divinely orchestrated sparks might celebrate in the moment of connectivity, be warned.

I hope you experience a moment of truth and beauty that inspires you for years and sets your eyes on fire, and that everyone who looks at you after that moment knows that you have been changed…❞

Sagittarius/Capricorn Balsamic Moon
—February 25

You’ve gotten a grip, you’ve got your feet set—you’re ready…

But there’s still much mental work to be done.

The last several days have been a lot—a lot of learning (hopefully), a lot of unlearning (hopefully), and a ton of pausing in the Now…

Now it’s back to reality, in many ways—back from the wonders of Wonderland… and into the looking glass.

From now until March 2nd, which is the Pisces new moon, as well as the day that Venus and Mars (and Vesta) come together in conjunction with Pluto at 27° Capricorn… but from now until then—there is much to observe, continue to take in, prepare, and nurture before the celestial lights turn green, so to speak… though, February 27th will likely offer something of an illumination.

As for what degree Venus and Mars are moving through today—the twenty-third degree of Capricorn—a degree which associates itself to ‘spiritual retreat; withdrawing without thought of the future; and faith renewed…’

Through this degree “there may be the urge, or the need, to go into a period of silence or self-negation… gathering in one’s thoughts in a quiet place can lead to renewed faith and commitment to spiritual values and therefore better experiences with friends, family and relationships… for now, life may require you to go within and examine issues without the noise, clamor and problems of everyday life.”

You can learn so much from removing yourself from yourself, in an effort to really observe exactly how you spend your time and energy…

If you actually spend this time wisely—which I would recommend you do—you should learn much, and maybe even open to some insight toward some of life’s bigger questions… and for those of you who are less than impressed with where you’re currently navigating, it’s time to explore, fundamentally, where it is you’re really going should you continue on your current path—or, should you make some necessary changes or pivots or take an alternative approach… where you might actually be able to elevate toward.

And for those of you directly on track—congratulations, take this time to explore the less understood or more intangible details within your vision, and maybe let the blur of these define themselves a little more to you…

In order to understand the world, one has to turn away from it on occasion.❞

Sagittarius Balsamic Moon
—February 24

Today’s moon is balsamic in phase and applies to Neptune by square the entire day… today is about releasing some of your visions.

Particularly—the visions you have rigidly held within realms of expectation, yours or an/Others, or those of ridiculous certainty… if yesterday taught you anything—it was the value of flexibility and open-mindedness, and that there’s rarely a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ when you’re navigating subjectivity—and, in Sagittarius, it’s always subjective…

Energies and influences will be subjective until the moon moves into Capricorn—then objectivity will overpower, as well as reason.

So, you thought something was going to be one way, and it isn’t… what now?

There may be a real need for real adjustments… particularly “about the way you communicate your thoughts or ideas—be receptive to [new ideas], as you’ll learn a lot.”

Perhaps, too, “there is a need to let go of past alienation or loneliness… experiences or people… in order to move on.”

Move on. Please. You’ll see…

There may be countless metaphorical ellipses today (…), actually or figuratively, as today’s manifestations may feel like fragmented run-on sentences that lack an ending or clarifying point—but there should be much to learn, take in, and observe—if you’re willing.

Try to just go with it….. wink

Recognize the resistance and accept the change.❞

Sagittarius Last Quarter Moon at 5°17′
—February 23

Sagittarius energies, though particularly lunarly Sagittarian energies, are typically Artemisian in nature… in reference to the countless ways of considering any one thing, the myriad options many of us have today, and the elaborately complex manners in/by/through which we live, eat, work, play, love, and experience anything… Artemis, in regard to the mythology, defended fiercely these potentials.

Artemis, like a Sagittarian moon, as shamanic astrologer Raven Kaldera shares, “requires space—anything that seems to tie [you] down to one dream, one ideal, one relationship, creates a fight-or-flight response.”

For Sagittarius, and this moon, ideals are possible adventures… and very often, not actually possible—simply knowingly chasing after the impossible is often what consumes most of the energy, time, or focus… though, Artemis embodied something of a paradox—for as much freedom as Artemis demanded, she held merely impossible standards for others to live up to, hastily and uncompromisingly judging one against an impossible personal ideal.

With Sagittarius, too (as with Pisces)—irrational emotion leads the way… never logic.

Allowing others to lead and live their own lives was not among one of Artemis’s targets… (see what I did there?!)

And there’s quite a bit of Artemisian theory involved here… I’ll choose, instead, to keep this post moving forward.

See, as a last quarter moon is designed to, something regarding your plans, your goals, your ideals, or your lifestyle is being provoked, (self-)critiqued, judged, or ostracized—and how you’re leading and living your life, in your own way, is potentially triggering something or someone… as Kaldera says, “in conflict with the opinion of others…”

Another tidbit about Sagittarius—it’s always ‘right’ wink wink nudge nudge… or at least, needs to be.

The current conflict, then, through others, “may question, scorn, or reject entirely—this rejection is especially sharp when it comes from others who supposedly shared [your] beliefs up until the moment they began to question…” and this could have you feeling utterly without mercy, however irrationally, for anyone who doesn’t fulfill an impossible image of ideal… or toward anyone who simply disagrees with you.

Kaldera offers, as well, that these energies are “[not about] debate—it’s to challenge yourself and your beliefs, and to watch the reaction within.”

It’s that reaction within that is key.

The degree through which this lunarly event occurs associates itself, oddly enough, with ‘playing by the rules’…

Further, these energies “reflect a time when it is not necessarily the game that is important, but how it is played… you may find that integrity is vital now and your honesty and ability to ‘play by the rules of the game’ will reward you, even if there is some initial sacrifice…” such as admitting you may be wrong, or changing your perspectives for the overall ease of an/Other’s needs.

Expectations, should you have any, are demanding to be shared—as detrimental as expectations are—it is important that everyone be made aware, reminded, or updated… because, let’s be honest—the this moon squares the sun, in Pisces, there’s much to be misunderstood, misinterpreted, or miscommunicated.

Or, these energies could be enough for you to take a precious pause and review your own opinions, perspectives, plans, goals, or ideals in an effort to irrationally feel (or, hopefully, rather, logically think) them through—to decide whether or not they’re current, accurate, peer-reviewed, true, honest, resolving, intelligent… or possible.

This pause, should you decide to take one—may it open you to new ideas…

Today’s last quarter moon occurs within the first decan of Sagittarius, which astrologer Austin Coppock suggests represents ‘the speed of an idea or vision, the velocity of imagination…’

This lunarly event is thereby represented by the 8 of Wands in the tarot, which a card associated with moving forward… further, this card seems to be bolstered with propelling high-level energy—though it is suggested that these energies are embraced ‘with the flow’, as opposed to manically, and definitely not recommended to resist or avoid.

This propellent feel, then, is in an effort to move you closer to your goals, or plans, ideals, or whatever—despite these being analyzed, compromised, questioned, or criticized…

This card, too, associates itself with having a more mindful focus of intention, which should serve you as you work to challenge yourself, or be challenged… and today’s moon will move beyond its square with the sun to connect with Chiron by trine, suggesting further that as you challenge yourself, or remain open to being challenged—that this will, ultimately, eventually, be a healing process.

Self-confrontation at its finest… it’s most confrontational.

Perhaps you’ll struggle with yourself for not fulfilling your own impossible standards?

Still, back to this ending note upon healing—a healing process, in its authenticity, requires the very real and uncompromising processing of the poison before applying the relieving antidote… if you’re open to being honest with yourself about the why of what you think and how you feel, as well as being open to becoming as clear as is necessary at this time toward exactly what is possible…

And maybe even forsake what simply isn’t.

Happiness was never important—the problem is that we don’t know what we really want. What makes us happy is not to get what we want—but to dream about it. Happiness is for opportunists.❞

Scorpio Disseminating Moon
—February 22

It is on this moon that shamanic astrologer Raven Kaldera suggests “we confront what we would do—and how far we would go—if we were in a situation of powerlessness and oppression…” and it is through the influences of this moon that “[our] attention turns to the outside world rather than [ourselves] and [our] own darknesses, and find that working directly with people does the most.”

Today we ‘rise to the occasion’…

Yesterday’s inward explorations and confrontations, today then, open you to more clearly recognize these reflections within and throughout, toward a more ultimate All That Is…

Today you may even “find yourself having a transformative realization that will take your focus away from your more basic animal instincts to a more spiritual level of perception… the way in which you respond to the environment can change considerably—life takes on a different purpose and new and more liberating ways of acting in the world become available.”

The energies abound when they moon moves through Scorpio more often than not introduce opportunities for healing, which typically involve the symbolisms of death and rebirth.

On this note, as I shared with you yesterday—Venus and Mars have moved forward a degree in Capricorn, a degree that associates itself with defeat… with ‘accepting defeat gracefully’.

This degree inspires the reminder that we must always be ‘prepared to start again’…

Perhaps one of the ways you’ve been considering your plans or goals or ideals, or maybe an expectation you’ve been harboring, or an advancement or increase or resolution you’ve been hoping for—you may find that these concepts or expectations or idealizations are no longer useful to you, no longer benefiting you, or supporting your overall… and so now you must embrace a new perspective, a new vision, a new goal…

It could also be something of a dynamic toward unease—discovering or relearning that ease is magical, until it isn’t… that we need others, imperatively, particularly others who disagree, or see things slightly or extravagantly differently than ourselves in order to be our best. We thrive upon challenge. Not to the point of oppressive struggle, understand—but we need not truly struggle through moments of unease here and there, as there are truly worse circumstances, as stated; your perspective, here, is everything. Unease reminds us of our humanness, and our inner spark.

However… in an effort to curve back around to the original message at the beginning of this post—today’s opportunity to pivot will likely invite inner transformations, and these, should they be honestly experienced and genuinely processed, could further offer you reflected transformations beyond yourself.

But really—this defeat—astrologer Dane Rudhyar states “depends on the quality of the will and the inner integrity…”

The key phrase of today’s energies is ‘inner strength’… and ultimately, personal accountability—particularly toward one’s accountability of honesty with oneself… there’s no ease in sugar coating reality these days—be it our own version of it or the version of it we apply to the collective—we’re already far enough removed from reality as it really is as it is.

Further, I find it important to inform you, that ultimately—as Venus and Mars continue applying their conjunction into Aquarius—it may not be a defeat, so severely, but being prepared to start again in some fundamentally unexpected way(s) will be wise, particularly toward the contextual probabilities within the house this ingress occurs in within your own chart…

Remember—as your values strengthen, and harden, and your perspectives and openness to open-mindedness learn the value of flexibility—the obstacles you need (or, eventually, want) to navigate will become much more rich with depth and meaning, and purpose… and it’ll change everything.

The surrender of life is nothing to sinking down into acknowledgement of inferiority.❞

Scorpio Disseminating Moon
—February 21

The lunarly governance moves from Venus to Mars, both of which continue moving through the twentieth degree of Capricorn… tomorrow, however, they move into the twenty-first degree—and bam!—it changes everything.

That, and the itsy bitsy tiny detail that Mars is now governing the moon’s moods and moves… not Venus.

Venus, especially through a Libra moon, prefers smooth exchanges and ease, and most of all, loves to please—and with Venus currently moving through Capricorn in conjunction to Mars—Venus needs to focus upon a target (of exchange) and begin securing its ease of inevitability… though Mars cares little for others’preferences, and while moving through Capricorn—needs to strategize for success, despite the risks, costs, or feelings punctured in the process.

However—through this process, this lunarly ruling pass-off between Venus and Mars, from Libra to Scorpio—there may be a lingering feeling intensifying from within… a reflectively reflecting reflection of sorts—reflecting back at you, from yourself and your own inner reflections.

Yea… contemplate this for a moment.

Really, perhaps no longer do you feel an imbalance—but now there could be a sensation of frustration stemming from an emerging power/control dynamic… or, at the very least, an inner start/stop mechanism from within your own psyche causing you to question your own motives.

And, because the moon is in Scorpio now—looking deeper within yourself is kinda required, whether you’re in to it or not… as well as asking yourself what’s honestly and really beneath the surface of whatever it is you’re navigating—whether you want to look directly at it and confront it or not.

And, because the Scorpio moon connects to the sun, it may begin to dawn on you that “your situation may require a fresh attitude in order to create room for new developments and a renewed sense of vitality… [otherwise] you may be feeling a sense of loneliness and[/or] alienation.”

And, because the Scorpio moon squares Mercury, these questions (to ask yourself) could be hauntingly effective—

When I look deeply within myself, what do I see?

When I look more closely at an/Other, what reflects back?

Am I being subjective or objective?

Are my wants or needs egoic in nature or heart-centered?

Am I evaluating what I see or feel from a superficial standpoint, or am I allowing myself to feel more deeply, and thereby more vulnerably and honestly?

Am I projecting what I feel subjectively onto an/Other inappropriately or unnecessarily?

And ultimately, what do I want or need others to see when they consider me?

And, finally, because the Scorpio moon applies an opposition to Uranus for most of the second half of the day, exact just after 9pm on the west coast*… it would behoove you to understand how powerful it will be to truly know your worth, that ‘having a strong sense of personal dignity’ is everything, always—but
particularly today.

Aristotle once stated that ‘dignity does not consist in possessing honors, but in the consciousness that we deserve them…’ in which he was referring not toward today’s trending ideas that we’re all golden and flawless and deserving, just because—that if we simply believe we’re worthy, we will be…

No, he was referring to dignity feeling consciously deserved from within when we’ve actually done something honorable to earn it.

Dignity is a value that creates irreplaceability.❞

Libra Disseminating Moon
—February 20

Today’s moon will square Venus and Mars, which are moving at opposite ends of the twentieth degree of Capricorn, very early in the morning, here on the west coast*… suggesting that your inner balance or emotional equilibrium is being challenged somewhat by your own chosen motivations.

This degree of Capricorn that Venus and Mars are moving through associates itself with ‘shared endeavors’, with teamwork, sharing and cooperation… and it is at this point that you may really and actually begin to fully acknowledge on a much deeper level just how much help, or assistance, or aide, or support—however you wish to refer to it—you really do require.

And this is admirable—especially for you self-starters and do-it-yourselfers… truly—perhaps even more impressive (if you ask me, which, I fully realize—you’re not…)

This degree may also even connect the potential dots between concepts or theories of independence and selfishness—whether it’s accurate or not, understand—simply because these energies are so strongly advocating and supporting and rewarding collaborative efforts, particularly while the moon remains in Libra… even if self-sufficiency is the ‘right’ thing to do, or you decide it is, or might be.

Should these details provoke upset—remember to relax, summon your charms, and delineate all the noise down to the essential, underlying tone… and there may be a bit of noise—noise that is disturbing, unsettling, or otherwise unbalancing in some way.

I get it—it may be easier said than done.

Further, it may be immensely supportive to center yourself, realign, and remember who you are, and listen to your own inner voice… ‘to hold your own; let other people know where [you] stand; or clear the air by exposing hidden motives…’

These, of course, are what?—these are decisions.

These are decisions that you can make for yourself, though a Libran moon can entertain endless predicaments or distractions in an effort to avoid…

I get it.

Perhaps this is the way you can implement your self-sufficiency and inner need for independence?—as you integrate your own particular reflection of uniqueness within the collectivity of a collaboration through the awesomeness of ‘dynamic interchange’… and you can still entertain the distractions and predicaments.

Win, win.

Ultimately, today is about inner balance… and recognizing yourself both before and within the flock.

The lives of happy people are dense with their own doings—crowded, active, thick… but the sorrowing are nomads, on a plain with few landmarks and no boundaries; sorrow’s horizons are vague and its demands are few.❞
