MOON MOODS•••
Pisces/Aries Balsamic Moon
—May 24
And so the time has come…
Midday the moon moves from a surrendered Piscean moon to a self-regarding Aries moon—still balsamic, and thereby still surrendered, still without a confident aim of re-beginning anything—though somewhat, somehow, receiving a smidge of inner motivation underneath it all.
Remember that the recent sun/Mercury inferior conjunction—and more appropriately regarded, cazimi, which is the uber empowering version of an otherwise weakened conjunction—occurring through the zero point degree of Gemini so close to the recent Piscean last quarter moon is, in many ways, inspiring and motivating inner thoughts and visions, however subtly…
In other words—you are currently, in real time, experiencing yourself within the midst of your own consciousness expanding—there’s going to be a learning curve.
Of an Aries balsamic moon, shamanic astrologer Raven Kaldera states that it “is a moon for strategy and tactics, for planning the attack rather than battling on the front lines… it is also a moon for remembering the whole point of the fighting.”
It is also a very auspicious time to ask for advice or guidance.
Toward the lunarly aspecting of today, astrologer Dane Rudhyar transcribed by degree, respectively, to both the effect of possessing “a keen appreciation of the value of individualized responses to any challenge of life…” as well as toward “the power of clearly visualized ideals to mold the life of the visualizer…”
In other words—to know who you are is as pressingly important as knowing exactly what you want in this lifetime.
Perhaps most importantly for today, specifically, as the moon meets up with Mars—still in Pisces, is that the “demanding that others react to any situation exactly as we do,” particularly at this time, is essentially futile… if not effectively impotent in result.
As we remember who we are as we emerge from our selves, however metaphorically, brand new—it is necessary that we remember, too, that we are now separate in desires and goals, ideals, and motivations… and that, most fully, we just prepare for a more personal “participation in a greater life…” which is to say—a personal participation with a life unique to who we are.
Much like how you would create your Instagram bio or the About section of your LinkedIn profile, or the first paragraph of a resume… are you who you want to be?—are you who you’re saying you are?
In a way, today is a day about “grasping the broader outlines of [your] destiny…”
And an/Other simply cannot do this for you—you must do this for yourself; you must participate with your own personal destiny.
❝The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.❞
