Sagittarius Gibbous Moon
—July 11

Apparently, through these Sagittarian energies, a bit of idiocy has surfaced and taken over…

It is through these boundaries energies that we get ideas—most of which are not so bright, or rational, or even remotely possible.

There is also a huge chasm, however symbolically—an embodiment, in a way that resonates for you, between No Longer and Not Yet, representing Now, and the bridge is being destroyed or disregarded… let go.

Again. Whatever new beginnings you’re facing—these may not ultimately be so celebratory, or natural, ideal, or flexible… and rather, these ‘new beginnings’ are much more likely more possibly somewhat impractical, non-traditional, underwhelming, or desperate.

Sagittarian ideals of whatever ‘happiness’ means tends to linger when the moon moves through this sign, stupidly illuminating all that is impossible… leaving a rather tinged and tainted taste in one’s mouth regarding what one can actually achieve—and that which is simply out of reach. It is through this moon that one tends to stand up for one’s convictions—however impractical or unreasonable.

And maybe this is enough.

Today’s energies speak of this—standing up—however stupidly advised or irrationally strategized this may actually be…

Fighting for the ideal, however—whether you’ve earned or actually worked for the ideal or not, is not the point… these idealistically boundariless energies may expect the ideal to rain down upon the masses—and may you experience even a glimpse of what this may feel like for you, however an insouciant regard you may be lucky enough to realize this through…

Perhaps you’ll then know where to put your energies, and all of your efforts thereafter—for as Oscar Wilde once said, in preparation for an eventual Capricorn moon, “ideals are dangerous things—realities are better—they wound, but they’re better…”

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead…❞
——Louisa May Alcott
