Capricorn Gibbous Moon

And, once again, with the monthly Capricorn moon—reality hits.
Astrologers were well aware before the year even began that the first week of July this year (and even as early as June 28th—at the new moon in Cancer) would offer a surprise or three… and I would argue that, once again, the heavens opened and the gods indeed spoke, and sure enough, right on time—bam!
What’s essential here, then, is whether or not you responded—or reacted… and, perhaps I should rephrase this toward the essence of whether you are reacting or responding.
Because whatever it is for you in your reality is moving as slowly as molasses, because, Cancer…
Interestingly, tomorrow’s full moon in Capricorn falls upon a degree that associates itself with defeat… and the acceptance of defeat with grace—and whenever and wherever grace is concerned: an inner strength of character.
Today’s preliminary full moon energies regard “the need to complete any undertaking before seeking entrance to whatever is to be found beyond… it symbolizes even more the revelation of a new series of activities just ahead—yet unless the concluded series is brought to some degree of fulfillment, nothing truly significant is likely to be accomplished by a restless reaching out toward the as-yet-unknown…”
What astrologer Dane Rudhyar was describing, then, through these degrees, was concepts of foundation and threshold… and that we’re now upon a threshold—something of a major threshold, both individually and collectively—one in when you “may have to pause in order to safeguard further advances…”
Luckily, Mars is currently in Taurus, (and, however you want to view the sun and Mercury moving in tandem in Cancer…) so pausing before advancing is definitely the modus operandi.
And finally, today’s moon will square Jupiter, asking or influencing questions of meaningfulness and purpose, and perhaps even matters of projection and expectation—and how you put these upon others… and within your reactions and/or responses—maybe the real surprise will lie upon how you tune into your most genuinely authentic stance, which is to say your inner strength of character, which is to refer to the actual reality toward whatever it is throwing you off balance.
