Capricorn 1st Quarter Moon at 9°47’—October 2

This is a moon though which shamanic astrologer Raven Kaldera suggests “we consider all the ways we want respect from other people and the methods that we use to achieve this…” because this is a moon when we try to understand “how we have interrupted or sabotaged our own success…”

It is a time of ‘squarely facing life’s graver problems…’

These energies, however, provide one with an ‘indomitability of spirit; perseverance and pluck…’

It is an opportunity of ‘correcting one’s flaws through willpower… remaking oneself…’ and ‘ withdrawing and reemerging with a reconstructed identity (as in a comeback)’ and ‘appreciating one’s interconnectedness…’

You may be having to deal with something… and you may have to overcome, ultimately, through gentleness… as in reaching out, with gentleness… particularly toward how we feel we need to claim our respect.

Further, “this is a time for overcoming fears… you may have to deal with someone, or something, from whom you have usually kept a distance…”

This degree, particularly, through which the moon is aspecting the sun, represents the Golden Rule… generosity is key here—serving and giving, in an essence of participation, in an essence of exactly what is triggering reaction… particularly if you’re not feeling nurtured.

This quarterly moon is merely challenging you to take something more seriously…

With the sun in Libra—there is something you are being called to do… called to participate in… and with that—something of a division.

This moon falls within the first decan of Capricorn, and thereby denoting, by astrologer Austin Coppock, a “change of location and circumstance…”

Dangers bring fears, and fears more dangers bring…
