Leo Gibbous Moon—March 4

First of all—did y’all see Venus and Jupiter together the other night?! It was stunning… and one of the digital collage artists I enjoy created today’s image, illustrating the recent conjunction as it could be viewed from our perspective—and this brought me an unexpected joy, as it is simply perfect.

American activist Parker Palmer is quoted to have said, “Self-care is never a selfish act—it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer others. Anytime we can listen to true self and give the care it requires, we do it not only for ourselves, but for the many others whose lives we touch.”

Indeed.

Unexpected healing is a potential today…

As is sudden needs or demands for restorative or recuperative attention—or simply the unplanned scenarios involving last minute opportunities for self-care or pampering otherwise.

Staying centered now, however that looks and feels for you, is a productive way to utilize today’s energies… and there is likely a more noticeable nudge expressing itself from your innermost awareness—from an underlying, possibly even hidden, need to express this energy, this beckoning inner emergence beginning to bubble beneath the surface… this innately inherent ideal—you know, deep down, it’s time for self-renewal…

There are so many potions of potential surrounding you—distilling and percolating within you—and those moments of joy, as sacred as honey straight from the hive, are a personal, and likely very sentimental, reminder to you that experiences of pain can sometimes be a blessing… and sometimes, those moments of pure pleasure can become painful.

Today may offer both pleasure and pain within the act of a very validating energetic participation of release.

And, always, as ever, a very celestially convenient connection—today’s moon moves on to illuminate the Aries stellium between asteroid Vesta, Jupiter, Chiron, and Venus by trine…

This will further emphasize and illuminate feelings of self-soothing joy, expansive reflections and dramatic reconstructions, reconciling reconnections and collaborative efforts, and an ultimate desire to rebalance and recuperate.

Take this time, today, to get what you need—whatever that might mean for you—because the moon will oppose Saturn tomorrow, and then Mercury on Monday, and Tuesday’s full moon occurs simultaneous to Saturn moving into Pisces…

Not to mention a moon/Mars square. Ugh.

Our obligations, particularly to others, will begin to quickly accumulate…

So go get yours while the gettin’s good, as they say.

In fact that is why the lives of most women are so vaguely unsatisfactory. They are always doing secondary and menial things (that do not require all their gifts and ability) for others and never anything for themselves. Society and husbands praise them for it (when they get too miserable or have nervous breakdowns) though always a little perplexedly and half-heartedly and just to be consoling. The poor wives are reminded that that is just why wives are so splendid—because they are so unselfish and self-sacrificing and that is the wonderful thing about them! But inwardly women know that something is wrong. They sense that if you are always doing something for others, like a servant or nurse, and never anything for yourself, you cannot do others any good. You make them physically more comfortable. But you cannot affect them spiritually in any way at all. For to teach, encourage, cheer up, console, amuse, stimulate or advise a husband or children or friends, you have to be something yourself.
