Aries New Moon At 0°50’—March 21

Tis the astrological new year!—may you embrace new ideas, and new perspectives, and new lifestyles and sceneries!

Upon this Aries new moon, as shamanic astrologer Raven Kaldera writes, “we begin things…”

Through this degree new realizations abound—and you may be interested in reading further into this first decan of Aries—this first degree speaks of ‘births, emergences, and taking the first, faltering and naive steps on any journey.’

The stirrings from within remain an ongoing theme now, these stirrings but a signaling new potentials and possibilities for growth, action, movement, and new beginnings.

Choices are everywhere, and self-discovery around every bend… and change begins when the next step is recognized.

You understand more, now, than you have till this point.

These are new days we’re embarking upon—offering entirely new landscapes and brand new adventures—if we’re but willing to take the first steps.

Will you take these first steps?

If not, why?—what are you frightened of?

The Aries new moon, specifically, represents The Fool card in the tarot—a card that encourages one to take first steps, to venture forth, to “blithely step off the cliff with unquenchable faith in the Universe’s benevolence…” as Kaldera continues…

Kaldera reminds us that, as Aries energies resemble, the infant—that the infant doesn’t yet know pain or disappointment, distrust, or disbelief… the infant intrinsically trusts.

And so maybe you’re struggling, not with fright or fear or worry, but with trust…

Ultimately, ‘whatever is emerging, either in you or around you needs to be accepted, welcomed, and nurtured… it’s best to resist the old familiar ways of being or relating as they can pull you back to outgrown and possibly unsatisfactory conditions—despite any setbacks, be aware that you possess the power to make the necessary changes in your life.’

It’s time. To begin something new.

We cannot put off living until we are ready. The most salient characteristic of life is its cohesiveness; it is always urgent, ‘here and now’, without any possible postponement. Life is fired at us point blank.
