Gemini Crescent Moon—March 26
The moon makes no aspects today.
However, when the moon is crescent, and moving through Gemini, it is a time to consider all the many masks we wear…
It really isn’t so much the naming of these masks, and associating these masks with their counterparts of identities—it’s more about the why within these masquerading associations—why we express ourselves in specific ways through specific masks.
Why is it you behave and express yourself differently when you’re with your mother, and differently still when you’re among strangers within an elevator? Why is it you will not look the waiter in the eye when they approach the table and take your order, but you’ll stare down a child behaving badly…
I don’t know—there are instantaneous examples—these questions for yourself will be ridiculously varied in a multitude of personal ways. And possessing a personal honesty with yourself, truly, is key—you will get nowhere if you’re unwilling to acknowledge or admit to yourself when specific masks/behaviors aren’t even a little strange, or entirely unnecessary.
These masks we wear, we wear them for a reason…
Just as Schitt’s Creek’s Moira names her wigs, each one possessing its own personality through which Moira can most appropriately express herself in such extremely dramatic ways… in fact, I rather prefer the idea of masks being referred to as wigs—as wigs are something we cannot hide behind, but rather navigate from underneath.
Either way. It really doesn’t matter—mask or wig—what matters most is that you simply acknowledge them… honestly—and maybe even talk to them.
To acknowledge your masks, as they represent different sides of you—you might even consider these masqueraded behaviors to be true expressions of your own personal inner twin…
