Scorpio Lunar Eclipse at 25°18′
—May 15
David Steindl-Rast, an American Catholic Benedictine monk, once stated that “wherever we come alive, that is the area in which we are spiritual…”
Albert Einstein once said that “the most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious… [that] it is the source of all true art and science—he to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead… his eyes are closed.”
And diarist Anaïs Nin once said that “the personal life deeply lived always expands into truths beyond itself…”
Only when we are truly honest with ourselves about ourselves, and the reality surrounding ourselves, are we able to actually experience the divine within ourselves in our realities.
But that’s the trick and the catch, right!?
The degree through which today’s lunarly eclipse occurs is a degree that celestially describes “the ability to adjust swiftly to a new situation by tuning in to its requirements…” seemingly regardless of how unfamiliar or foreign it may be…
Astrologer Dane Rudhyar transcribed this degree to describe “he who lives in harmony with nature, moving on as new needs arise, finds himself intuitively at home everywhere; he does not make demands upon life, for he has identified himself with the great rhythms of the biosphere and he functions at peace with what they produce.”
This would imply, then, that the entire universe is but within, that heaven, or paradise, or whatever you may call it is simply to be found within yourself… and so, again, the personally honest and sacred soul connection we each hold and sustain with ourselves, should we choose to do so—this connection is divine—this connection is…. everything.
This everything is, quite literally, a mystery…
This everything, then, too, however, is Functioning 101.
However.
These energies might not actually be so exactly smooth and natural, as Saturn moves upon an exact t-square alignment between the sun and the moon, suggesting that whatever adjustments are necessary are either absolutely for real, and thereby without any glimpse of glitch, or may present additional or further challenges to an already tender transformational opportunity—mind you, you very well may not be observing your present circumstances as an opportunity… please do not misunderstand.
But however these energies are twisting and turning or transmuting for you, Saturn’s presence in between how you feel about these circumstances and how these circumstances actually are—suggest that these circumstances, when and only when necessary adjustments are made and that which is broken, decayed, or dis-eased is treated or eliminated… true transformationally transmutational growth awaits.
These transformations, and their requirements, of course, may not be obvious to you at this time—hence, they may be eclipsed… and will emerge from the darkness in their time.
Shamanic astrologer Raven Kaldera states that when “you journey to the depths, and suddenly discover a great truth: that when you go deep enough, you emerge into a place that is far beyond you, and Powers await you there…”
This is when you are touched by the Divine. Sometimes.
This is when the Mysteries become clear. Sometimes.
This is when the clockworks of the cosmos align with your own inner rhythm. Sometimes.
Scorpio energies are often considered starkly darkness or light; good, or evil… Scorpio doesn’t sit on fences well. However, the High Priestess archetype associated with this moon directly stands for just that—the High Priestess is both darkness and light—Scorpio energies, when elevated, evolved, and emerged beyond… know everything simply as it is—and the essence within this knowing: is awe. The origins of the word ‘awe’ involve both ‘fear’ and ‘pain’, but simultaneously evolved to describe both reverence and overwhelming admiration for ‘that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful, or the like…’ and is thus connected to the idea or concept of God, or the universe, and, of course, ultimately—to the Mysteries; to that which we cannot explain.
Regardless of how evolved Scorpio energies are—these energies are inherently orchestrated toward that which can (or should) inspire awe, especially when elevated in vibrational frequency… and in particular, when this energetic force field of sorts is pure, and not forced or manipulated.
For instance, when what I call ‘transcriptions’ come to me—or that which I couldn’t possibly know anything about, or do not know anything about—I feel tingly all over, and this is how I know that the transcription is not being created from my mind or my ego, that it is pure… and this is frighteningly similar to a feeling of awe, and there is no darkness or light—it simply is, and it comes through as it is needed.
With awe, too, there can be, as with the associations of pain and fear, feelings of discomfort or unfamiliarity can be experienced—and the degree through which today’s lunarly eclipse occurs is associated with new territory and making oneself at home therein and so this would suggest that something new is manifesting for you within your personal reality, be it an actual new home or a new way of experiencing your life—what was is no longer… in likely a very severe way, or at least in a cumbersome or uncomfortable way.
What exactly is the discomfort? From where does this discomfort stem, or originate?
In what ways are you familiar? In what ways do you feel comfortable?
In what ways do you feel awe?—in your everyday, or infrequently?
Do you see the gray?—or is it always dark or light?
Are you embracing an inevitable change, or shift, or evolution?
