CROSS-PURPOSING
June 14-20th
This week’s major celestial weather, and overall temperate climate, is retrograded Saturn in Aquarius squaring Uranus in Taurus through the thirteenth degree…
Everything about this squaring describes the upheaval of stability, youth versus wisdom, reformations versus preservations, freedoms versus laws, the exceptions and the rules, traditions and rebellion, normality and abnormality, and matters which go beyond while others remain limited—this is a time, both individually and collectively, through which we are “breaking through and renewing old structures, the limitations of freedom, and going beyond restrictions of freedom.”¹
Because it is a square there will be discord and instability… and, ultimately, the need for adjustment, at the very least. There will be obvious conflict between these ideas and ideals.
These degrees, respectively, and specifically, describe a “slow, natural evolution of consciousness or social structure; an instinctive urge to press forward despite internal and external pressures; small steps forward that eventually result in tidal shifts; learning from the mistakes is the past; crawling out of the muck of ignorance and prejudice and rebuilding society among humanitarian lines; crawling out from under an oppressive situation once the light is seen…” with a firm and unrelenting stance, “warily entering a new scene, casting a cool, unblinking eye on fears and suspicions, penetrating cracks in the ‘official story’, through new awareness that the reality envisioned in one’s mind’s eye may be true… but it may also be a fantasy.”²
Cross-purposes are everywhere.
Are new ideas, or other’s ideas cross-purposing your ideals?
And because Mercury is retrograde in its final week, and moving through only two single degrees of Gemini (whereas Mercury typically moves through two or more degrees in a single day), cross-purposes are occurring vibrantly and haphazardly through the frequencies influenced by degrees that are associated with “sharing carefree thoughts and ideals… through conversations that illuminate issues” as “there’s something that must be said or announced…”³
This could be, however obtusely, a time of being fearful of expressing truly your opinions or feelings or beliefs… oh, but you must.
Yet it’s also a time of rebuilding, reforming, and reviving—especially so—so suddenly after the potential eclipsed wreckage…
This second square of three (the third to occur exactly in December, through the eleventh degree, which will—sneak preview—hold us firmly to walking our talk) being something of another reminder (from February, through the seventh degree, which was associated with individual examples of personal accountability) to willfully choose, for yourself, to be the architect of your life: using actionable motivation, being adamantly and personally accountable for oneself, and practicing mindfully rational discernment…
And to not be the victim—within reality as it is, or within a reality you’re failing to create for yourself.
We not only survive, but succeed, through each and every small choice we make or fail to make. And we’ve no one to blame but ourselves… because reality has been hard since the beginning of time—for everyone.
It began with a bang, after all.

Today and tomorrow you may be feeling quite intensely, as some of the upheaval currently disrupting the status quo or illusioned securities you’ve previously counted on is stirring… and this could infuriate an otherwise empowering Leo moon kind of day.
Instead, these infuriations could illicit drama—the bad kind—and heatedly provoked tempers… influencing, however concurrently, exaggerations, dramatizations, and over-the-top needs to be heard and acknowledged—for better or worse.
Try to breathe in and out through your heart today… rather than thinking irrational thoughts through a monkey mind.
Today’s vibrations could reverberate the energies that were triggered back in February as well as introduce a potential toward what to be expected late on in December—either way, today could feel quite prickly, penetratingly so…

Continued potentials for heat, hostility and heartache… with an added insult to injury—the human need to understand it all when none of it is even easy to swallow, much less process.
Also frustrating—there could be a need to remain silent, or still, or to slow your movements entirely… be mindful of your words, specifically, as well as any action you take, as these could be used against you later on… or maybe they’ll set you free.

It’s really no wonder that the past continues to be dredged up meticulously and unapologetically—as Jupiter stations for retrograde upon the second degree of Pisces, a degree which associates itself toward the “need to retrieve, sort through, or go over records from the past in some way…”³
It might be appropriate to ask yourself if “the situation facing you struck in time without a clear understanding of how to proceed…”³
It might also be worth one’s time to remember that the past has largely been recorded inaccurately, mistranslated—quite literally, maybe—disregarded over and over in accordance to only the elites agenda or overall plan… books and entire libraries have been burned, and truths have been kept secret—our true lineage, seemingly erased and manipulated for the sake of a status quo rationed upon the actual livelihoods of others.
I wouldn’t be surprised, either, should some of these associations be manifesting in the most metaphorical or symbolic of ways rather than so seriously or figuratively.
This degree, however, promises that “new life can be found as long as one is willing to look…”³ and, I would argue or suggest, could actually work and/or fight for it.
Further, this degree divulges that “the achievements of life do not necessarily disappear when we move on… things continue to exist.”³
There is no cancelling what hits too confrontationally.

Oracular omens suggest that today “may be the time to seize power and to push forward with decisions that need to be realized and grounded… to take a stand and direct the course of action.”³
Further, “it is most likely by force of will that the best solution will be found, but one must be careful to temper the situation, as strong displays of masculinity could get out of hand very quickly.”³
Overreactions are likely. Pressures are rising. Explosive reactions—inevitable. Temperance must be practiced…
Is love guiding your motivations to act? Or fear?
Is your ego running the show, or your soul?
In some way, either collectively or in your individual reality, there is a likelihood of being confronted, or somewhat forced to acknowledge the dark side of something—something you believed to be another way than it actually is.
Today is about the actual details of a thing, a matter.
Handling things in a manner that’s always been used will no longer be effective—this is yet another opportunity to rise.
This is an opportunity to go more thoroughly into a matter then you’ve ever prepared yourself toward… this is an opportunity to practice, in action, what you yourself preach.
Underneath all the action necessary now, this action must be reasonable, rational, peaceful, refined, and inclusive—not egoic, reactive, or defensive.

Yesterday’s—and arguably, this week’s—insight might be sinking in by now… as “information and understanding is coming to you or through you”³ today… further, it’s likely that this insight may have been within you all along.
Inner knowledge, or inner truth, is illuminated today: what are you learning, or what could you share that you have actual experience with?
See, your opinion isn’t necessary or worthy now—opinions don’t, and can’t, actually afford the repercussions that are intrinsically linked with expressing them—it’s your actual experience that matters… not your feelings about something, or something someone said, or did, or didn’t do, anything that happens to so lazily trigger you, to something that was expressed on the internet—but actual experiences you’ve lived, and learned from, and are able to genuinely tell.
How can you better inform others through actual experience?
How can you better inspire connection with an/Other through the intersection of action and understanding compassion for the human condition and Life itself?

Today’s celestial traffic continues to set the scene with potential misunderstandings, missed alignments, and/or misunderstood intentions…
Perhaps the lines of cross-purposing are becoming crossed in and of itself?
Today offers a(n) (im)balanced mixture of “finding common ground between living things and appeals for kindness and compassion; cooperative efforts and emotional inclusiveness; getting people to open up and adapting one’s message to other people’s capacities; and dissolving the barriers between the personal and the collective…”²
However, simultaneously, there is an obvious in-obviousness about seeing trees and forests alike—in appreciating the details within the overall picture of things…
Today will somewhat demand of you, however charmingly, the need to “shine a light on a situation; pointing out facts that others are trying to ignore; seeing the way out of one’s current difficulties; promoting a higher level of civilization through an imperturbable high-mindedness; trying to establish ideals of freedom, justice, and truth at the highest level…”²
But because today is offering mixed reviews and imbalanced perceptions… please ask yourself: should I still be struggling with my personal ideals—are these ideals of mine realistic?—or are they tragically improbable?
Or… it’s time to consider if you’ve done your part to fulfill your end of the deal toward your ideal.

Back into the depths of our own personal darkness we go, both collectively and individually… the only way around it is through.
Working on a relationship and learning more deeply about compromise could have been a recent theme, and today these reverberations sink more thoroughly into the tug of slippery quicksands… it’s best to smooth over edges and apologies earlier in the day, unless you’re truly prepared and capable of delving into the deepest of intimacies and vulnerabilities.
Today’s lunarly associated degrees involve emotional motivations toward “confronting other people’s underlying motives; unmasking deceit and half-truths; circling in on a hunch; identifying a key piece of the puzzle; getting the full scoop versus acting too quickly and making a mess of things; critically examining one’s own desires; dodging other people’s agendas and protecting one’s own interests; and learning who one’s real friends are…”²
None of which are recommended for the faint of heart.
Somewhat unrelatedly but not, Jupiter is more or less stalled in its station at 2°11′ Pisces, a degree which inspires “sober reflections on the deeper meanings of life and death…”² and will begin moving backward toward Aquarius, to ultimately return to the rules and regulations of what an organized ideal requires… absolute boundarilessness is not yet available after all.
And finally, the sun enters Cancer later tonight* and this would represent, despite Mars moving in Leo, a more cautious examination upon the inner workings of all things.
Again… none of today’s energies are recommended for the egoic reactionary, but the open-hearted are advised to remain open to receive.
